LIMITLESS Coffee & Tea

“We exist to produce the purest coffee and tea on Earth. We believe human potential is limitless and are developing the purest agents of motivation and inspiration for the moments we need them.” – LIMITLESS

I have to admit I was looking forward to heading to Limitless after seeing pictures on online. I snagged a table for some reading and sipped a creamy charcoal latte with beautiful latte art while fellow coffeeshop patrons worked on their laptops or chatted with friends. Next to me, the pair at the table were bouncing ideas off of each other for either a work meeting or a school project.

I went to the River North location which seemed to be a good choice: outside, people were walking their dogs, carrying groceries home, or heading to a bar to pre-game for the Chicago Bears game. It was great for people-watching and yet I managed to get a ton of reading done πŸ™‚

Goddess & the Baker

All-day cafe with baked goods plus breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads & beer & wine.

You’ll definitely need to check out the rainbow cake they sell here but what I came for was the glitter gold latte. It was delicious, the latte art was incredible, and I loved the aesthetic of both the latte and the cafe.

Last autumn, I tried an apple butter latte at Goddess that was similarly exceptional.

The only thing I’d warn is that there isn’t a lot of seating at the Legacy Tower location, so I’d really only recommend it for a quick bite or a to-go drink.

Heritage Outpost

Locally roasted coffee & pastries in a bright, lofty space that’s an offshoot of a bicycle shop.

“Heritage is a mash-up of two concepts and cultures that really go hand in hand: bikes and coffee,” says this coffee shop’s websiteΒ and honestly, what doesn’t pair well with coffee (coffee and running? coffee and books? coffee and podcasts?).

This particular location was close to my doctor’s office but I’d probably go to the one on Wilson if I wanted to sit and read. I’d also like to check out the Heritage Bicycles General Store this summer.

New Wave Coffee

This chill coffeehouse with java & sandwiches has colorful floors, exposed-brick walls & artwork.

Nutella Mocha

Happy New Year! This was my first coffee shop of the year. I ordered an 8 ounce skim Nutella mocha though they had all the staples. There was a ton of space and tables to choose from (though that could have been due to the holiday).
