Goddess & the Baker

All-day cafe with baked goods plus breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads & beer & wine.

You’ll definitely need to check out the rainbow cake they sell here but what I came for was the glitter gold latte. It was delicious, the latte art was incredible, and I loved the aesthetic of both the latte and the cafe.

Last autumn, I tried an apple butter latte at Goddess that was similarly exceptional.

The only thing I’d warn is that there isn’t a lot of seating at the Legacy Tower location, so I’d really only recommend it for a quick bite or a to-go drink.

Heritage Outpost

Locally roasted coffee & pastries in a bright, lofty space that’s an offshoot of a bicycle shop.

“Heritage is a mash-up of two concepts and cultures that really go hand in hand: bikes and coffee,” says this coffee shop’s website and honestly, what doesn’t pair well with coffee (coffee and running? coffee and books? coffee and podcasts?).

This particular location was close to my doctor’s office but I’d probably go to the one on Wilson if I wanted to sit and read. I’d also like to check out the Heritage Bicycles General Store this summer.
